Backyard Baseball is a series of baseball video games for children which was developed by Humongous Entertainment and published by Atari.It was first released in October 1997 for Macintosh and Microsoft Windows.

Welcome to Online Registration for Arlington Babe Ruth (ABR) Baseball, a league for players between the ages of 4 and 12. The name of the game at every youth level is FUN and FRIENDS. We strive to develop a positive sports culture and an enjoyable baseball experience for each player.

FEE WAIVERS - ABR is committed to giving every child it can the chance to play baseball. Anyone may request a fee waiver from the League, no questions asked. If you do so, complete this registration process and continue to check out, indicating you'll pay by check. We will adjust your balance for the fee waiver.

NON-VOLUNTEER FEE - We are proud that ABR is an all-volunteer organization. Our board of directors, highly skilled coaches and assistant coaches all willingly contribute hundreds of hours of their valuable time each year, and almost all of them are parents of players. We ask that you take a small but active role also in supporting these parent volunteers by paying a non-volunteer fee of $50 or by volunteering to help ABR implement better baseball. The fee is $50 per family, regardless of the number of players you have with ABR. If you would like to volunteer a league representative will work with you to assign you to an 8-hour commitment in one of our greatest needs: Christmas tree sale, registration outreach, equipment pickup and returns, assistant coaching, umpiring or field maintenance.

MULTIPLE CHILD DISCOUNTS - If you have more than one child registering with ABR today, there is a $10 discount for each additional sibling registered.

LEAGUE BOUNDARIES : Beginning at the point where Arlington County, Alexandria, and the Potomac River meet, west along the Alexandria boundary to Route 236, west along the northern edge of Route 236 to I-495, along the inner edge of Route 495 to its intersection with Route 7, running west on the northern edge of Route 7 to the Loudoun County border, along the eastern of the border between Fairfax and Loudoun Counties the Potomac River, and down the Potomac River to the starting point where Arlington, Alexandria., and the Potomac River meet (view map and other grandfather rules under League Info icon).

REGISTRATION ERRORS?: If you come across any errors with your registration, incorrect fees, or anything else you have questions about, complete your registration, then select the pay via check option. Send us an email at arlbaberuth@gmail.com and we'll make the correction to your registration. You can then log back in and finish registration by paying on-line or sending us a check.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOU ARE ALL SET? You can be sure you've fully completed your registration process if you reach a payment options screen, and, upon payment, you get a confirmatory email. Players will not be placed on a team until payment is completed by credit card or check. [If you request a fee waiver, we will update your registration to reflect that, and your payment will be considered complete.]
