How to Install and Play Games That Use the Scumm Engine

• Step 1 : Get the CD of your game.

• Step 2 : Download ScummVM, since the HE games run on the Scumm engine.

Install it somewhere. I highly suggest downloading the .zip file and putting it somewhere other than Program Files (i.e. make a folder in your documents or in your desktop). This way, User Account Control won’t bug you.

• Step 4 :In your ScummVM folder (or whatever you named it to), create a folder named 'games’. Inside this folder, create a folder with the name of your game (Spy Fox 1, Freddi Fish 2, Fatty Bear’s Big Birthday Surprise, etc.) Now, unzip the numbered files from your game’s archive.

• Step 5 : Open up ScummVM, click on Add Game, and find the folder of your game. You don’t have to open it up, just click on it and then click 'Choose’.

(optional) Step 6 : For a clean, healthy, ScummVM folder, create a folder in the ScummVM folder, and name it 'Saves’.

Click on any game you have listed and then click 'Edit Game…’

Then click on the right arrow twice. You should be at 'Paths’.

Click on 'Save Path’, and find the 'Saves’ folder inside the ScummVM folder.

Now your saves for the game you edited will end up in there INSTEAD OF BEING IN THE SCUMMVM FOLDER WHICH HAPPENED TO ME *slaps forehead*
